Im considering getting a 3.5 but i would definitely polish it, not too crazy, but at least a bit of polish over OOB.
Has anyone polished theirs, if so, how did u like it?

I have a 3.5 that is drilled 50 Deg x 5" x 45 Deg that seemed to not finish strong like the many videos that I have seen before. I bowled at a house that has wood lanes on a fresh shot, and the ball seemed to "roll out" or labor to get to the pocket if I get it outside of 10 downlane. My speed is about 16.5 with a high rev rate, and usually play 15 - 22 at the arrows with a breakpoint around 5 - 10. I had my pro shop guy put 500, 1000, 2000, 4000, and polish on my 3.5 which seemed to have more hook when it reached the friction downlane. I haven't used my 3.5 anywhere else yet, and only used it 2 times in a late league at the house with wood lanes. According to Brunswick, the 3.5 needs to have a lot of oil for the ball to work properly. Depending on what part of the lane you normally play, you might want to drill it with a dual angle of 45 Deg x 5" x 70 Deg or 60 Deg x 5" x 30 Deg to get the reaction like the videos on the Brunswick website by playing the middle part of the lane. I would work with you pro shop guy and explain what kind of reaction you would like to get with a 3.5.

I took mine to 1000 and then polished it because it was way to strong in box finish. This seemed to add a little length and smooth out the break point a bit. Its still very strong but very usable.

I have smoothed mine out to 4000 and polished it...you will see more length and a even more pronouced back end reaction...I like mine...if you are playing on longer oil, you may want to knock the cover down to 1000 siaaiar...

I hit mine with the 2,000 abralon pad and then polished it. My 3.5 is drilled with a stacked leverage type drilling and the addition of the polish gives it a little more length but still retains a very powerful but useable move.
