Title: Anyone used the new/old Purple Rhino Pro reactive?
Post by: charlest on November 01, 2008, 02:18:28 PM
That is, who has less 300 rpms ...

Interested in people's reaction on current light oil and the drilling used.

Thanks.

I friend of mine drilled one up for the sport 34' short pattern and it was awesome. I was thinking of ordering one too before they are gone. His was probably about a 4" pn below the fingers no hole.

I have mine drilled up pin slightly below and about 1 1/2 to 2in out with an x hole drilled about 1in diameter and almost down to the core. It is far from a dry lane ball for me medium heavy to heavy. I am 4 out 11/16 pap medium revs at best with slow speed and the carry is better than any ball I currently own.

I didn't use it, but I got my butt handed to me by one many times by a lefty who just sent it up the track and kicked the crap out of the pins.  His was the old version, wood lanes, heavier up front, pretty good recovery, I always got forced in early on the right side, he never needed to make much of a move.  I was really excited when they re-released it, unfortunately it coinsided with me being out of bowling for a while due to wrist injury and I no longer work in the pro shop, so I don't have it, but a nice piece either way.
