Twisted's Cracking
« on: February 07, 2008, 04:04:33 AM »
I drilled up 2 Twisted Fury's about a Month ago and both balls have Cracked. One cracked above the bridge, a ¾" long crack. The other ball has cracking around and beneath the finger holes. I know it may just be cosmetic but I was disappointed to have these balls crack. I am hoping Brunswick will replace these 2 balls, even though the holes are close to the Pin in both cases.

Our shop hasn't seen any cracking yet...

Contact your distributor. I believe that's the preferred method of handling any issues.

PM sent.

are any of the holes less than an inch from the pin ?  if so, the warranty has been voided.

I had a seed ball and mine did crack, but Brunswick took care of it. It was the first one to crack up in New England.
But this is probably the best ball I've thrown. The only other ball that compares is the Vapor. When my new one came in, I got a second one since this ball has been so good.

Guy I bowl with had a twisted crack all the way around the ball, I guess he is going to play with the cover now, but I have heard that there were a few twisteds in the area that are cracking.

There were some that cured too fast and Brunswick is replacing them. Have him contact the product specialist for his area, or even the distributor. The product specialist is located in the Brunswick catalog or on www.brunswickinsiders.com.

Thanks guys, I am aware that if it is too close to the Pin then the warranty is supposedly Voided. I have has several Storms crack and they were replaced by the distributor with no problem. We will see what happens, I was happy with these Twisted's.

I haven't seen one crack yet. Once in a while there is a bad batch.

I had my proshop order one for me about 3 weeks ago. It came cracked in the box. The distributor quickly exchanged it for another one.

The crack was about 6 inches long and parallel to the pin and CG and about 2 inches to the side.

I have had my Twisted for approx. a month now and thank goodness, so far (knock on wood) there are no cracks. Geez, I think I would die a slow death if this ball cracked at this point in time. Even if Brunswick replaced it, I'm not sure another one would ever do what this ball has done and is still doing for me.

It appears that some post from 2-7 thru 2-12 are no longer showing. So I will repost something JLS posted.

Our shop did not have one Brunswick defective ball in all of 2007.

Nice job Big B.
