Anything good to say about the Scorching Inferno?
« on: December 29, 2007, 03:13:56 PM »
Okay, here is my dilema.  I have recently been given a next to new Scorching
Inferno.  The generous person is a pro on the Senior Tour, and believe me, it
did not take him long to get dialed in with this ball. (Drilled Southpaw), and I
was most impressed by the ball's ease through the heads, get up some steam to the mid-lane
and dive right for ten in the pit.  So, being elated, I got on the reviews section of this forum and was surprised to read all the negative reports on this
release from Brunswick.  Help!!!!.  I am right handed, and am looking forward to
building a new track on this puppy.  Need some positive input please.
Many thanks, and Happy New Year to all.

Tony

I have had my scorchin for 2 years now. Within the 2 years I have had it I only had to resurface it once, and I use it during every league. This ball is not a piece of junk, it's amazing!!!

my friend has one, and since our specs are nearly exactly the same, i throw it all the time. our house puts out plenty of oil, and the ball loves it. it's at OOB. when there's head oil to work with, the ball is wonderful-really revs up in the mids, and arcs strongly into the pocket. hit and carry are superb. go for it!

I really like mine.  It needs a lot of oil to be effective.

I got two of 'em, really good balls, with oil.

I have mine at 1000 abralon pin outside ring cg in grip center.
I have lower ball speed. Ball seems to work best for me when I can square up and play up the boards. When I have to move inside the ball usually starts up to quick for me. I am sure with a coat of polish it would be a good THS ball. But I have other equipment I prefer in there.

I also have two more NIB sitting at the house for when I fell like a new toy.

By now you've probably made your decision, but too re-enforce any
positive decision you've made - "This is one great ball". I have a PBA Inferno
which I'm told is a Scorhin of another color. Took it to a 1000 abralon & polished it with Black Magic XXX & drilled it RICO with 1/2S x 1/4F. The ball
was a monster the first nite I used it in league (1-2-08). I was a bit timid
at first with one open for 202. Then tightened my line with a reverse 1/1 move
and shot clean 253/258 for 713. The ball hits and rolls like a runaway bulldozer going down hill. If you decided to keep & use it, IMO, you made the right move.
