The Twisted Fury Is For Real
« on: January 22, 2008, 02:55:59 PM »
Anne Marie Duggan drilled up a Twisted Fury for me late yesterday after noon and let me tell you people, this ball is for real.

I wasn't able to throw any practice games or even throw a few balls with it before league today. Due to this, I almost didn't use it, but I have been bowling soooo bad lately and have lowered my average 16 pins this year from last year (even shot a season low of 468 last week ) that I decided to use it and suck it up even if I bowled bad again.

Well, let me say, this 14# Twisted Fury is unbelievable at getting thru the heads and arcing strong to the pocket with no quitting all the way thru the pocket. The pin carry was unbelievably great. I shot 201-216-207....624 out of the box with it. I know this isn't great scoring for a lot of you guys and 4 years or so ago it wouldn't ahve been for me either, but with my average being down 16 pins this year, it was great for me and would have been greater had I not gotten 2 splits the last 3 frames of the last game because i pulled the ball when I released it. I ended the second game striking out in the 10th and started the 3rd game with 5 in a row. I had 138 in the 5th frame and ended with 207 because of those 2 splits.

I want to say many thanks to BrunsNick for putting me onto this ball as well as supplying the suggested drilling for it to fit my style for the conditions I wanted a ball for. I am looking forward to more balls from Brunswick.

My good bowling streak ended today. I only shot 574, (187-194-193) but still happy with the Twisted Fury. Wasn't the balls fault. I had a timing problem and a bit of over confidence problem today. I have been getting so many strikes since I got the ball, that I forgot how to shoot spares when I needed to. This is my last report (bragging?....lol) on this ball as I don't see it necessary to continue. Anyone that doesn't have a Twisted Fury is missing out on a great ball.

I had one of my Twisted Fury's drilled up today just in time for league play.
At my drill's (Corey @ Bowldoc's via Ric H suggest) suggestion, we went with a 5 x 45 degree semi Rico so the pin was between the fingers and the mid span line or above the Ric line. Weight hole was right on the MB also.

What a great ball to throw, especially for some one like me that does not hit my mark often enough and who was a variety of different release's, but not on purpose. Went 237 and 230 the first two games, before running into a swelling ring finger and thumb, which hurt my game and finished the last game with a 193 for a solid 660 series my first time out with it.

I don't have much to compare it to since I only have my X Facto and I just got a BWS. The ball seem to be a bit earlier then my X Factor and was a magnet when it came to finding the hole. It got a little testy late as the lanes dried out and as my finger cause some bad releases. I played it pretty much up the track all night long. Fun night of bowling for sure. It was awesome to watch a ball track to the pocket with a super hit to boot!

I really like both of mine.  The first one is pin above ring finger with the cg and mb kicked 45 degrees out.  Within the first three weeks of having the ball, I had two 800s and a 299.  My second one is drilled with the rico drilling and right outta the box i threw 17 in a row and shot 290 762.  Ball is my choice for ball of the year.  If you don't have one, your missing out

Amen to that. That is what I keep telling everyone also. Great ball and now the first ball out of my bag.
