High tracker with a question...

I have an Ultimate Inferno with a 2" pin and 4oz top.  I want to put the pin below the ring finger (righty) and kick the CG out about an inch.  Do you think I would be in danger of tracking over the thumb or finger holes?

Not sure about the inferno, but in general hitrackers
will wnat to keep the pin equal or above theline that would be drawn
from the pap to the ringfinger.

I did a 315 on a executioner, with the pin leverage.  I placed the pin
below the ring finger to give it a little more roll.  when the ball flares
the bowtie is right at the the middle finger, and actually clips it.

It really all depends on your release and your PAP.  Putting the pin below the ring finger will likely put the bowtie slightly below the middle finger.  Depending on how far and how much flare you get, you could clip the middle finger hole.

With 4oz top weight and the cg kicked out you're probably going to need a pretty good sized weight hole.  Putting the weight hole below your PAP on the VAL can raise the bowtie some which might solve your problem.  

Hitting the thumb hole is a result of release, not layout (unless it's a layout that causes the ball to flare in reverse).

I track very high, but my favorite drill is pin just under ring, cg in the palm, mass bias (if there is one) to the left of my thumb in my track. I almost clip the fingers and thumb and would not dare to go much lower, if any at all. I would try to find someone else who has a ball drilled with the pin below the fingers that fits you. Throw it and see what happens before you put a drill on an expensive ball you can not use because of where you track. Also, be careful with that much top weight with where you put the cg....don't swing it too far out or you may not be able to remove enough side weight to make it legal.

Even if you drill it with the pin under the ringer, you can put a deep weighthole in the thumb positive quadrant to raise the bowtie a bit.  I've tried it and it's worked when the bowtie has gone into my middle finger.
