AI vs SI VS OI
« on: August 09, 2005, 05:07:46 PM »
Well, bowling season is about to start up and its time to start looking for some new stuff!! Last season, i just loved my AI, it was my go to ball and it still is. i only got like 15+ games on it(Dont bowl during the summer, because it Golf Time!!)but anywas, ive been reading alot of the post on the SI, and i cant find anything about AI vs SI, when the AI is polished. you can see the lay out, in my profile. With the SI and the Oi, i will prob go,with what Nick did with his SI, i really like the roll on it.Btw this season i think im going to go surge easter, on all my stuff. i just like the feel of it, and it flatens out my roll. Now with the OI, that is going to be polished as well, so how is that compared to the AI or the SI? Thanks!!!

I never really took to the A.I much.
I tried using it as a benchmark, but I had issues with it.
The ball was drilled Rico1 (probably not the best layout for it,
But I wanted to mess around with it).  Anyways, the ball read the
lanes too early for me, and I really couldn't ever find the ideal
line.

The O.I. hooks a lot for me.  Its almost a heavy oiler, even in box
finish.  I have it pin over ring, cg in grip.  The ball takes off
from the dry.  I gets a few more feet in length compared to the
A.I.  I like this ball reaction more since I can get it farther
down and out.  But I find its sometimes too uncontrollable off
the breakpoint.

The S.I has really done it for me.  While it gets the length (a lot longer than the O.I) it has a REALLY clean turn off the breakpoint.  This ball seems to love
being played outside.  I haven't found a shot too heavy where it won't make the turn, or a shot too dry where it becomes shaky.  It's just that good-for me-that is.
