Brunswick "going downhill?"

My dad said that "Brunswick is kinda going downhill."  This confused me.  He said they were moving to a different country or something and that they were struggling for business.  I wouldn't think this would be true, but I don't know.  Thanks for all responces,

Brunswick already moved to Mexico, and they aren't doing all that bad. Actually, from what i've read, they're doing better!

I read this in the Business section of the paper the other day. Its not the bowling balls, but their boat sales and billiard sales are WAY, WAY down.

Zach,

  Brunswick is a large, multi-faceted corporation.  It would be hard to pass judgement on them as a whole with only limited information.

  It is true, they have moved their bowling ball manufacturing plant to Mexico, but I think that is the only thing that has moved so far.

  And, as has been stated earlier, their outdoor recreational equipment and their billiards divisions have been hit pretty hard and have not been doing well ( from what I have read and heard), but those are seperate from their bowling division ( I believe ).

  As for the quality of the bowling stuff, it does seem to be getting better now after a few inital startup problems.  I just got a FURY myself, and it seems to be a heck of a ball, at least so far.

I believe their Marine line of business was the first to migrate to Mexico.

You are correct.  Thus one of the reasons they moved the bowling division down to Mexico as well.

They may have issues with the fury core/cover combination out on tour, but I'm murdering stuff here on my league shot.

  Two weeks with my fury, four game sets, first set was 985-second set (tonight) was 973.

  Averaging just a bit over 244 with it.  It is the truest rolling piece for me that I have had in a loooonnnnnngggggg time.  And the carry seems to be excellent for me as well.

In bowling, they have had alot of problems. Like the Sidewinder we got in our shop, we can not find the cg without weighing it. Supposedly it was supposed to be a 2-3 inch pin, but there is no punch mark in ours.

Innovation does not always mean successful (Track/Columbia). This is my first time using Brunswick equipment and I have to say I kinda like the true rolling pieces instead of dart and dive. Just my opinions.
