What is going on at brunswick's mexico operations???
« on: November 29, 2006, 02:55:09 AM »
I am hearing from my distributor that the total has been delayed two weeks or more in my area. i was told a month ago the delivery date was the last week of november, now we are looking at a few days before christmas.

We are still waiting for some Viz A balls. like the spiral, i have been told we are waiting since august. I haven't seen any in our local area.

I can understand some back ordering problems because of demand, but what is going on??!! If i wanted to wait months for items to arrive i would order from china.

I thought when brunswick said moving to mexico would improve production capacity and speed things up.

Ordering directly from Brunswick....they are notoriously slow in the Industry. Coming from Mexico didn't help when I made a 9 ball order this year.

Brunswick shipping = 1 week overhead + 1.5 week shipping (no burritos included)
Columbia Shipping = 1 week overhead and shipping time (wow)
KR Bags (Brunswick) = 1 week overhead and shipping (another barn burner)

Why are the balls being processed so slowly? Beats me.

I know what you mean.  I was waiting for the next ZONE ball, but with the wait for the TI, that'll probably push that back even more. I couldn't wait anymore, i crossed over to the Storm side & got a Domination instead. Cheers.

Dude, I was told that the Total Inferno would be 2nd week of December.  My local distributor is expecting them next week.  "I" never heard any November information.

Skeg, if you are only ordering 9 balls, why would you order from Brunswick?  Distributors are always faster than direct from the factory, they don't want to mess with 9 balls, they want to mess with 90 cases of balls.

They halted production on plastic balls for 45 days to move that equipment from Michigan to Mexico.  I know target zones are effected, but I sure the viz-a-balls are as well.
