What exactly is the difference in the slide and pearl? how will  they differ in total hook, shape, and conditions

According to the videos on the brunswick website, the slide goes a lot longer than the pearl.  Both are exactly the same lightbulb core with different coverstocks.  Listed below are the links to the brunswick website.

I have the pearl and it is good for when the lanes break down and start to hook.  The pearl has good length with an angular back end.  IMO its a good ball.
