I am totally lost as to how to get this particular ball drilled. I have medium to medium low ball speed with medium to slightly high revs. PAP is 4 out 11/16 up. I have a xxxl I got and plugged to change span pin next to ring with x hole. I can use this on everything up to a fresh viper on wood. I would like something to give me the same exact reaction but slightly stronger(control over under be smooth and consistant.

Pin in or under middle finger leaving enough positive weight (~3/4 oz.) to further tune reaction with an X-hole...
-
5x4 Layout. I have this on mine and love it.

Could you please give me some insight as to the reaction this particular layout gave you? thank you.

I don't understand drilling something with such a low differential that weak. I'd just say do a 4" x 4" or label drill, just drill it strong, no matter what it still won't flare much with the core in it.

I agree that most people should drill it strong.
Sean Rash can drill it weak, everyone else will need stronger layouts.

He claims to be rev dominate... IMHO, drilling it strong wouldn't really give him the smooth and consistent reaction he's looking for. He was only looking for something slightly stronger than plastic anyhow.

I have mine about 4 1/2" pin to PAP CG in palm that puts the pin above fingers. It is a wonderful ball and very smooth.

I have one drilled with a 5" pin to PAP which places the pin above my bridge and shading my ring finger. The CG is slightly right of the grip center. The cover is box. I use this successfully on Cheetah and on our house shot which has a log of over under. I play the outside of this pattern where the oil volume is low. that approach helps me to overcome the over/under created by the typical house shot.
The reaction that I get is very clean through the heads with good length. When the ball reads the friction it makes a very aggressive move. Super ball on Cheetah. Also, drilled on with a similar layout for a friend who went to the U.S. Open. He was able to play that ball for quite a while and saw the same reaction I described above.
