Just threw a few shots with it and took some video and put them together.
Love the ball thus far:

I'll upload it to youtube once they go off of maintenance.

I made a new video a few days later. I really like how this one turned out. It was done on second shift after a 5 man team, league shot on it.

Ball looks great!!!!! Even more so than my pearl.
I really mix things up with my pearl when it hits as well, i don't throw the ball 100 MPH either.
I see alot of messengers with this ball, prob the best ball under 150 EVER, and 140, best 130 you could ever spend in LIFE!
I'm not "making the kool-aid" here, I'm just very impressed by a ball this cheap. My tropical is great at the same/similar price point, but the avalanche with the solid version out shines it totally.

I now own both (haven't gotten any shots of the pearl on tape). I do have to say that if you decide to get both, don't drill them the same, as the pearl goes about 2 1/2 - 3 feet farther, but snaps hard enough to give pretty close to the same look as the solid, except a bit different shape. If I knew that, I would have put a little weaker drill on the pearl version. Not dogging the equipment at all, I'm very happy with both of them, and they are definitely the best value of the year.

If you throw the ball 17 mph, i'm closer to 12mph
You are really whipping that thing down the lane. lol!
I have a mini-review here maybe page 2 in this section. Mine is drilled fairly strong after reading Ric's advice on how to drill the ball. Roughly 4-4 1/2" pin to pap, pin under ring, 45* layout x-hole down on my val. Gives me a great look, a little stronger than i expected.
I think for the solid i would go pin under bridge 45* with an x-hole on my pap to smooth the reaction out a little more. Had a rampage with the pk18 pearl that i loooooooooved. Traded it to a guy and he shot like 875 with it or something crazy. :/

Hi!
Can't you say speed?!
Nice video!
Do you think the solid is a good ball to bridge the gap between my Twisted/Vapor and XXXL?
I say the Solid rather than pearl because I worry the pearl might 'skate' when there is a bit of carry.... I'm looking for a smooth ball that handles dry front with or without carrydown back.
Would a polished soild have enough length to clear the dry-ish front?
Thanks!

Honestly, the solid is a little stronger than I had originally expected. I drilled it stacked with 3/4 oz side. It's actually surprisingly strong, as I am able to throw it on the first shift of league. It's not very flippy, read is real smooth. I'd honestly say you shouldn't have a problem with either a pearl or a solid with a little weaker drill. Polishing a solid is most likely going to give you the same read and shape as the pearl would.

Based on your profile i would suggest the solid with a track that low. Alot of balls prob "skate" for you. IMO twisted/vapor/avalanche/xxxl still leaves a big gap. Should cover mediums/med light. The pearl and a weaker release is GREAT on fried heads, even with carrydown.
