hey people i have a bit of a problem late in tournaments where my blue vibe is too early and strong and my jazz isnt enough. im lookin at one of the avalanches to fit under the blue vibe and ill probably ditch the jazz. i would be bowling mostly on sport shots and modified house shots so i need something thats a bit smoother

the blue vibe is 2x4 1/2" (recommended controlled arc layout)
the jazz is 5 1/2x 4 1/2  (recommended length with arc layout)
stats are in my profile

im thinkin the slide will be right for this situations. or the solid. im afraid the pearl would be too snappy.
what would you guys recommend? i havent used big b in a awhile so im depending on you guys lol.

I think the Slide may be too close to the Jazz.  If you are worried about the Pearl being too snappy, I would look into the Solid with that length/arc type layout.  Just something to handle more oil than the Jazz and yet be longer down the lane than the Vibe.

yess thats exactly what i am looking for. i was just worried the solid would be too much because im a little rev dominant.

so you think the solid would be good with a layout like the jazz which would put it pin below bridge and CG out?

Suggestion: given the drilling on the BV and the reaction you are looking for, why not get another BV with a 5" pin (or thereabouts)?
(I kind of like mine.)

I'd also (like Steve) wonder about the Jazz as drilled being very close to the ASlide or the APearl.

You might also consider re-drilling the Jazz with a 3.5" - 4" pin AND/OR changing the surface. The Jazz is supposed to be solid Super-Flex which is an extremely versatile cover, in my experience.

thats the only thing i havent done with that jazz, i have it currently at 800 polished so the next step is taking polish off. i do have another blue vibe in the basement i could drill......

My avalanche pearl was very controllable and was never jumpy for me. It was great for drier lanes because it was so smooth, I would highly recommend it if you want a smooth reaction on dry lanes.

THe solid may be a bit too much ball, I have the pearl and drilled properly it is not snappy.

I absolutely love the slide, I drilled it for complete dirt and its awesome.  Pin under bridge, cg in... don't know the exact specs, but if you were to look at the old symetrical drill sheets, its considered the "least hooking" of layouts... SICK, gets well down the lane, controlled hard arc.
