My grandmother loves bowling and she is looking for a new
ball. She wants to hook the ball so what ball would be
good for a person who wants a little bit of hook and
that does not have a price limit? She throws the ball I
believe anywhere between 11-13mph. She recently had wrist
surgery so she does NOT want a ball she would have to
crank to hook. This ball should be mostly for medium oil
so she could use it often.
Thanks.

I know a person who thought bowling was like golf, the lower your score the better. They bowled a 43!

Well does she know how to throw a hook ball, first of all? Edit: I mean, are we talking about someone who throws fingertip, or someone who throws conventional and just lets the ball go in to a roll to hook?

Power Groove Pearl Would do the trick for someone who wants a little bit of hook.
EDIT: Especially with that much speed.

She wants the finger tips and would hook it slightly
by letting the ball roll of her hand. She does not know
how to hook it yet but she wants me to teach her.

Eh....a power groove may be too weak on medium oil for someone with out much revs. BUT it could work.

Maybe an intense?
Did not read the medium conditions

I just put a woman in a 12 pound Nemesis and she loves it.
She's 60 years old.

Thats not a bad idea! A nemesis would probably roll nice for lower revs on medium stuff. An intense would probably be ok to as long as you drilled it to roll up a little earlier, since she has low revs. (if you drill it to roll too late it may never be able to get in to its roll)

the raging inferno is a nice ball for medium oil.

If she throws it that slow, I would recommend the "Classic" Zone. It is versatile for slower ball speeds and she can use it even when the lanes are lighter on oil. Classic for a Classic.

Does it matter how I strike?

Even for normal bowlers, not really. Medium heavy perhaps, but in OOB condition it isn't an oiler. Afterall, it's a particle pearl. Also keep in mind that his grandma has low revs and so it won't hook much anyways.
