Stronger Than Smokin'
« on: February 05, 2006, 12:48:57 PM »
What would be a good 1-2 punch for a Smokin' Inferno. I got it layed out 2E on brunswick sheet. At times my smokin' isn't strong enough and doesnt finish. I need something to handle oil a little better. Thanks

I like the Scorchin idea, but even shined, this ball is a touch too strong to be a 1-2 punch.

I found that trying to use the Scorchin, I have to chase the oil in faster than any other ball I have. When I try to switch to the Smokin at that point, I'm already way too deep to have it recover.

My question... are you trying to use the Smokin' from the start, or do you want a ball for when the lanes are fresh and then switch to the Smokin?

Ok then... my suggestion is a 5" pin up Strike Zone with a 45* PSA, no hole if possible.

The Scorchin' could work if it had the same pin placement, I haven't had the chance to try it with that layout. Be the guinea pig for us!

hmmmm i'll talk to  my ball driller and se what he suggests hes been watching me bowl since i was 12 so he knows my game.

i think the Scorchin would be to much for THS. Strike Zone sounds good. By the way i have no idea what 5" 45* crap is. I just know pin placements and how they affect ball reaction so i'll know what ball to switch to.

By the way what would you in your opinions do you think the best overall THS ball is (i know there are diff types of THS')

All other suggestions are welcome. thx all & nick

Pin over bridge, PSA about 2.5" right of thumb.

Best THS ball for me is the Smokin' (current line)
