Title: Benchmark Ball

Curious as to what you guys think of a Nemesis as a benchmark ball? Also layout to get the most out of the benchmark? I am thinking something along the lines of 4 x 4, small hole down or hole right on axis. Looking for predictability as want to use this to get a read and put in the middle between my Vapor Zone and Ambush.

I also seem to remember someone posting some place that these were really cheap online right now. This would help if someone has the listing or has one in excellent condition right now for a possible sale.

Here is what I have right now:
Strike Zone 5 1/2 x 5-pin under middle finger-80 degree no hole-800 grit
Absolute Inferno 4 x 3-pin under ring finger-hole down-box finish
Vapor Zone 4 1/2 x 3 pin up,right of ring-hole axis-55 degree-box finish
Ambush 4 x 5,pin over ring finger-no hole-shined
Rampage 6 x 5,pin over middle finger-no hole-shined
Punisher 3 3/8 x 3 3/8,pin in flare safe zone-hole down-box finish
Power Groove Dry/R spare/toast ball

Any suggestions?

the nemesis would make a great benchmark ball. not too aggressive yet not too mild. a benchmark ball is used to test the lanes and see what's out there. the best way to do this is with a ball that is even rolling---no skid-snap or early hook. smooth sand the ball very fine, say 2,000 grit with no polish. you also will want a stable drilling pattern----no flare increasing balance holes. try placing the pin 4 1/2 inches from your pap and the cg in the middle of your grip.

Greg has a good idea.  A nemesis sanded to a fine grit should be a great ball to test the lanes with.
