I finally think I figured out my problem with the Smokin I got recently...my speed is too much greater than my revs for it's medium to medium low RG, and I can too often throw it through the breakpoint. With that in mind, I'd like to try another Brunswick piece. What would you recommend in a lower RG, all around Brunswick ball? Vapor Zone? ZC? Absolute?

Will an assymmetrical core help a bit in the revs department as well?

Depends on the drilling; you do have more options going asymetrical.

Oh splendid! This calls for a sexy party!

vapor or absolute are great i will have scorchin tomorrow so i will see what i think of this ball soon enough.

if your ball speed is far greater than your rev rate you will need to pay more attention to the surface of the coverstock. depending upon the lane conditions you bowl on you may need balls that are smooth sanded or dull.

What Greg Hoppe says seems very familar. Seems that many of us told you to scuff the surface of your Smokin.

Just as a minor update, I used the Smokin almost all nite last night in leagues. I'm working on slowing my ball speed down and it is definitely paying dividends. I didn't have the scores to show for it, but my reaction was much improved. My problem was a little inconsistency in hitting my mark due to the change in delivery. I can see that this will really help my game in the long run!
