Going back to Big B....
« on: January 22, 2009, 03:46:00 AM »
I had been a fan or RG for a bit.  The Mystic, Horizon Solid, Neptune and Illusion have all been great balls for me but, once I got my hands on a Smash Zone, it was all over for RG.

All of my gear was in the pro shop getting plugged and re-drilled and I needed something to bowl league with.  So the PSG punched a Smash Zone for me.  The ball was money on the Tues night league I subbed on.  Shot 277 out of the gate but then was reminded that I was establishing an average.  LOL.

Ended up with 654 for the series.

After that, I ordered 3 more.  Maxx, Wild Ride and an Avalanche Slide.  I think that will complete my little 4-ball arsenal.  Oh, I still have my burned out Zone Classic which is now pulling duty as a spare ball.

WOOT!  I love this game.

Rattler looks like the best out of newer releases to me, not impressed with Wild Ride after watching it with Nation throwing it on Sunday.

She looks hot but the ball is a NOT!!

The Wild Ride may be the best pearl I've ever thrown. I do love the Rattler, but the Wild Ride is 3-4 boards stronger for me.

The Wild Ride is a good ball. You can't judge a ball by one person throwing it. And also remember that all balls don't work for everyone. No matter what brand there is someone who won't match up with something.

Barry,

I got to use both last week and they are both good.  I wouldn't base my decision off Ms. Nation's ball reaction.

It made her look bad to be honest, I know how good she really is bowling wise though.

Maybe it is pretty good ball on other shots, my speed and rev rate are higher than her's anyway. Plus I am a house mouse not bowling anything too tough anymore, Is the Wild Ride stronger than a Vapor Zone with same drilling's on them????

Yes, mine is a few boards stronger than the Vapor. On the Tour many of them are going 2000 and 4000 abralon, but for the house shots I've seen the factory finish is quite good.

IME the Wild Ride is similar in overall hook to the Vapor, but is cleaner in front, and has better continuation.

It was definitely better for the ladies on the show where they started. It's hard for them after the guys burn it up first.

The Wild Ride is a great ball. I used it for four games tonight in our PBA league on Viper and I didn't leave one 10 pin!! I couldn't believe it.
