I can't give you any info on the Bionic Zone but I can give you some info on the Smart Zone I. I purchased my ball on-line so wasn't sure what to expect as far as surface is concerned. Brunswick has a tendancy to classify many different surfaces into one group. They say that the Raging Inferno is a high gloss, which it certainly isn't. So even though the Smart Zone I was in the high gloss catagory I had to wait and see what it was.
When I got the ball out of the box it was so polished it looked like a plastic ball. It has to have a 2000 grit high polish and buff to it. Smooth and shiny as glass.
Since this ball was so shiny I had my pro shop drill it for a strong mid lane reaction with accordance to my bowling style. So far I can't complain about the results. I bowl on both wood lanes and synthetic. Have used this ball for two weeks and except for one sub par series, have shot over 200 every game. In fact, my last three series have been 723, 800 with a 300, and 728 last night.
If you have a chance to get one of these jump on it, it will be money well spent. Good luck and good bowling. Rich
