What color was the polyester Rhino? Was it teal like the reactive?

Thank God my Son bowls so I can have a Hero!

Same name, different type of ball. The polyester ball is made of polyester. The other is a urethane ball with a reactive additive. Two completely different surfaces.

Also the polyester is a 3 piece ball where as the other is 2 piece

Question- weren't the polyester Rhinos sold at K-Mart at one time?? I recall some kind of Rhino being sold there about 10-12 years ago.

yes, dave that is exactly what i would like to know. my first post on this subject was misleading so i edited it, so the first 2 replies look funny in reference to the current post. do you know what color the plastic Rhino's were?

No - but I can say all of the Rhino Pro and Rhino RE balls that I am aware of were NOT polyester.

 

All the balls I have seen marked just Rhino were polyester; but there could well have been urethanes so marked - just can't recall with any certainty - LOL

 


 

I wish Bowlingballreviews.com had not died quite some tine back - likely you could have found a more complete answer there.

There were so many versions of the Rhino that you really have to pay attention. From the original 3 piece urethanes to the plain polyesters to the 2 piece reactives/urethane/particles etc it's hard to remember them all. But to answer the original question, the polyesters came in at least 3 colors that I can remember: a teal green, dark purple, and a magenta like color. The way to tell them would be a white label color and a highly polished cover (although that isn't foolproof if it's been sanded) The teal one is a bit more "aqua" in color than a polished Teal Rhino Pro.
