This season I will be bowling in only one league, an old wood house. According to which side and which floor, the shot ranges from Medium, Dry, and Desert. Right now, I have a Rattler and Neptune, undrilled. From reading reviews, BTM and watching videos, it seems that the Python is very close to the Rattler, some people are saying that it could be stronger in some instances. The Avalanche looks like it could be the right one, but is it too close to the Neptune? The best way to play the shot is to start inside and swing out. Which of the two (Python or Avalanche) would best fit with enough separation btween the two that I have? About me, I have medium revs and speed, working on eliminate the early turn in my downswing to allow my revs and speed to go up a notch.

From what I've read the Python is smoother off the spot than the Rattler. Ihave not seen one play yet though.

I have a Rattler and the Green/Black Avalanche but have been having issues with getting a good feel with the thumb on the Avalanche. While the Avalanche is weaker than the Rattler, it is not a dry lane ball. For a bigger gap below the Rattler I'd go with the Avalanche Slide.

From watching the Neptune play for a few different people I'd have to say that the G/B Avalanche has a stronger coverstock and would be stronger overall when compared to the Neptune.

i have the rattler and the python and the python is a lot less than the rattler its made for playing more down and in so i would go with the python over the avalanche

based on what i am reading here about the python being a down and in ball, i am going to have to say its going to depend on the drilling..... i have mine drilled pin under ring and cg stacked below in thumb quadrant with no x hole and this ball does for me what i was hoping my rapid fire pearl would do.... let me get in and open up the pattern when the heads start to burn up...... i havent been able to play left of 13 (I'm left handed) with this ball since drilling it.... if you drill it pin up i could see this ball possibly being a "semi" down and in ball...

I have a Rattler and a Python, both drilled with the pin 5" from PAP above the fingers, and both have the same surface prep (320 on six sides, followed by a coat of Brunswick Factory Finish High Gloss). The Python gives me several feet more length than the Rattler, and is more lateral at the break. On oilier conditions, the Rattler will be a few boards stronger for me just because of the way it wants to pick up the midlane. On a harder wet-dry wall or a broken-down track shot, though, the Python will easily outhook the Rattler because of how strong it reads the dry.

on dryer my neptune isn't good for swinging. It is an awesome ball for dry though.. it looks like it wants to move early but it just holds the line all the way to the pocket... it is better for down and in
give it some oil up front and it will have a pretty big backend though when it hits dry.
