Hey fellas I traded a guy for this ball and I have it drilled with the pin below and to the right of the ring finger with the cg in the palm. It has the factory gloss on it. So far I dont totally understand the ball just yet. It seems to strong for 10 and if you swing it, it wont make it back strong enough. I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this and what was done to help it. Also what is the general thoughts of the drill and what is it suppose to do.

I have one, and I encountered the same problems you have. Mine is drilled with the pin just below the ring and the cg stacked under. My best shot so far is playing around 14 - 16 on a drier condition with a strighter trajectory (small belly). The ball goes out on a 2 -3 board swing and then rolls up hard in the pocket.
Hope this helps.

The Blazing is a strong cover weaker cored ball. If drilled to weak (as described) the ball will flare very little and not have very good recovery except on drier lanes. I drilled mine leverage and it has tremendous recovery and still will hold in the oil. A great ball if you drill it strong.

Im going to throw it again tonight and try and get a better understanding of where to play it on the lane. It was too much for the condition I practiced on. Up ten it was to strong, but out to like 5 it did pretty good. Im just not use to swinging it out that far to score. I will play around with it to see. I thought the ball had a strong core and a weak cover? Which is why it hits hard but wont turn up that great in oil.

Strong cover = Orig. Activator, It has the Orig. Inferno core too but they made it smaller making the ball more cover heavy which raises rg which means more length, which means less overall reaction than the orig. inferno is what they were going for.

I should just quit bowling, oh wait I already tried that.
Now that I am back and my Saws are sharp again, I am ready to cut some wood.

I disagree with the strong cover/weak core statements about the Blazing. Yes, the core is weaker than the original, but it is by no means weak. RG = 2.55 and Diff = 0.033 From my experiences, the core seems stronger than the cover. The ball seems to rev and rev and rev, but the cover never catches up. This on very dry conditions; I can swing platic.
-
As you will read I never said weak core and I agree with your statement, Sounds like you got one of the bad batch though. I don't think very many of these balls have actual Normal Activator because even though they shifted the core weight if they still had Normal activator they would not be as weak as everyone has said.

My pro shop guy was the one that told me weak cover and strong core. He has one as well, but has more hand than me which is why he can swing it and make it turn up a little better. Im going to do some surface prep on it to help the reaction.

Keep in mind that there are effectively two Blazings. One has the Activator cover, the other has a cover that has a very low hook potential. My Blazing is very clean through the heads and mids and has a very aggresive but controlable backend. Other people have not been able to get there Blazings to hook at all. The weak covered ones would be a weak cover with a relatively strong core. The Blazings with the true Activator cover are relatively strong cover weak cored balls compared to most balls on the market. This causes them to over under if drilled for length. Drill them strong and you've got a really great medium condition ball for the heavy handed.

These must be the ones that I've seen...rev, rev, rev but keep on skidding.

Ill have to check and see which one it is.

Mine just says Activator coverstock and it has some look of orange in the shell. It isnt just solid red all around. It looks to be, but if you look close you can see a little orange.

Hey I took mine to about 1500 grit, this ball is absolutely amazing. I can use it on mediums and use it on dry lanes just have to keep up the speed. I am truly amazed with this ball. And its carry is phenomenal. This is truly a underated ball.
-
I havent used mine on any dry dry conditions but light medium almost to medium you can use this ball. I shot 279 in league with mine saturday. I am totally impressed with the blazin inferno. Mine has shined back up a bit though so its not handling as much oil as it was anymore but that is fine, I have stuff for that.
-
Yeah the blazin is a good ball. I love the inferno, it was a ball that served me well and I shot really good games with it. I traded mine just recently for another ball when the blazin worked so well for me. It actually out hoooked my inferno. Just doesnt want to handle as much oil. Although I just got a rule and I think that will change my brunswick thoughts a bit.
-
Would you belive i traded my intense inferno for the blazin and I like the blazin more.

Im not really sure, I took mine into the proshop and told them to give me a 1500 wet sand. Im really not sure how the sanding and stuff works, I belive what ever grit the paper or scotchbrite or polish you choose will make the difference in what grit number it will be. I have the slightest clue what it will be without the polish.
