I really can't believe what an incredible ball this Blazing Inferno is. I used it about 7 games tonight on your typical medium-light house shot. I'm from the Maryland/Virginia area and conditions here are usually alot drier than other parts of the country, so what we see as a medium-heavy condition for us, may be medium or even medium-light conditions to the midwest or west coast. Therefore a ball with these specs(Blazing) is an excellent choice for the East Coast(above the Mason-Dixon line).
What really suprises me about this ball is the strength of this Activator Coverstock as well as the Core's strength, even though 1lb was removed from it. I have one of the later made Blazings(a much noticably darker red than the first batch which were almost orange. Mine resembles the red found on the Slay/R). So maybe that's why this is a little bit stronger than what most people say it is. As a matter of fact, this ball is so strong out of the dry for me that I'm almost afraid of drilling the Regular Inferno or Ultimate Inferno to go hand and hand with this ball. Another great thing about this ball is how well it responds to release changes and lane breakdown. It's really a ball I can see myself starting out a tournament with and finishing with it. It's just a great all purpose ball for me, I'm even considering picking up one NIB since it's discontinued so quickly.
To the people afraid of picking this ball up due to the rumors you've heard about it either not hooking or a mistake made in the manufacturing process, don't hesitate, this is an excellent ball that could fit many styles of bowlers.
