Holy Scorchin Hell !
« on: December 12, 2006, 11:57:46 AM »
I don't know what to tell the people that complained about their scorchin inferno 2nds. I just got mine drilled tonight and put it close to 3-3/8. It actually is 3-1/4 pin to pap with pin right beside ring finger and cg kicked right about 1" from grip center. It did not require a x-hole. Finished with 3/4 oz side weight. This ball OOB is a freakin beast. Threw it on a fresh medium THS with some dry outside. I didn't even need to get it outside for it to cut through the oil! After two games I was having to lay it down on lefty's 5 board and cross 5th arrow out to 8-10. It never burned up and never quit hooking through the pocket.

I had tried a scorchin before with a long pin and had the pin about 1" above the fingers and it did not impress me. This one though is unbelievable and super strong arc. I don't know why people were saying these 2nds were weaker.

Could be because they arent much different then the 1st quality balls. Most probably experienced the ball burning off energy causing the hook potential to drop off a lot giving the user an illusion that the ball is weaker then they expected. I experience this on occasion, sometimes the burning off of energy  matches up perfectly to be of great value but not all the time.

Great ball if used on the right amount of oil. This is truely not a ball for everyone.

I should mention, my scorchin is not a 2nd/blem. This beast hooks way more then anything ive ever owned to date.
