Getting a Red Zone
« on: October 09, 2006, 10:39:44 AM »
Well I am jumping back into Brunswick waters and buying my first brunswick ball since the Amber and Sapphire Zone....  anyway I am getting a red zone and am just wondering if anyone had any layout suggestions.  I am looking to get medium length with a good midlane read and a strong continuos backend.  My pap is 4 3/4 over 1/4 up.  Ball speed at pin deck is 16.0 medium revs.  I was thinking pin under ring with the mb about 2 inches from the thumb which would probably work out to a 4 1/2 by 4 1/2.  What do you think.   I also was impressed with BrunsNicks video saw his layout was 5" pin over the bridge with the Mb under the thumb.  he has a little more hand than me...

The layout you suggested sounds perfect for the reaction you want. I have a similar layout on my Radical and it has the best midlane read I have seen from a polished ball. If anything, you might want to take the MB a little further out if you are looking for more control in the midlane. If an X-hole is needed, put it on or just below the PAP.

Please PM me about what you decide and how it works out for ya!!
