Power Groove Pearl

How much do these things hook compared to other light oil balls? I have a Blue Hot Flame and a urethane Slate Blue Gargoyle already. I know the PG has a real high RG and saves it's move for the backend, but is it enough different to justify buying one? I have a tournament coming up in August and I want to be ready for the dry second 5 game block. Last year I didn't own the Gargoyle and didn't bring the BHF.
My next weakest ball (Beast Pearl) was way too much ball.

Any other opinions?
How aggressive is the Powerkoil 17 cover? With the high RG and sanded to 1500/2000 + polished to 3000, will it get through some really dry heads and mids?

It'll get through dry heads, but be ready for a major flip on the backends. Huge backend if they're dry.
