Bruns/DV8 Comparison
« on: January 10, 2014, 10:30:57 AM »
Hi all, im looking to replace my Too Reckless. What Brunswick or DV8 ball would be comparable? Right now I have a Strike King for dry, 2 Misfits drilled differantly, my Too Reckless and my Ruckus. I love my Too Reckless and wouldnt be apposed to getting another one but would like to look into the newer stuff first. Thanks for any help. Oh and my PAP is 4 3/4 ball speed is between 15-16 and im a tweener if that helps.

I would look into one of the Diva balls.  Were they not the replacements for the Reckless line?

I'd try one of those marauders I think the most recent would be a good replacement,  and probably stronger.

The Too Reckless is a great ball and much stronger then expected. The Diva would be a good close choice or the Marauder Mutiny. Also the Brawler. I bought another Too Reckless and put in my closet for a rainy day.

The wife has a Diva plus not into pink so im not interested in getting one. I like the Mutiny and have been looking into it and the Beatdown. I've thrown some of my best games and my highest, a 280 just a couple weeks ago with the Too Reckless so I have consider getting another one as an option.

Ok so looking into it more im really confused on the Mutiny, seems like mixed reviews on how strong this ball is? Also seems like the Beatdown would be quite a bit stronger than the Too Reckless and like suggested the Brawler would be closer to it? Also been looking at Radical, any input on something comparable? What about the Marauder Madness? Thanks for any input and other suggestions!

The Mutiny is strong. It is very close to the Too Reckless. I also suggested the Brawler which is strong as well with the same look as the too reckless.

The Beatdown would be a duller version of your too reckless. You could always polish it. The Melee isn't anything close to the too reckless.

The Marauder Madness would be a similar reacting ball to the Too Reckless with the same surface of 500, rough buff, polish. Another similar core shape to the Too Reckless would be the Dude. It has a little smoother reaction than the Too Reckless but would be a good medium reaction ball. A third option would be the Brunswick Meanstreak Beatdown. It has a hybrid cover which might be more versatile, and has a strong downlane motion like to Too Reckless. Any of the 3 would be a good choice.

Thanks you for the responses! Im really leaning towards the Mutiny at this point but I also found a deal on a NIB Reckless that im considering, wouldnt mind having a Pearl between my Misfit and Ruckus but not sure how much that matters really?
