Strike Zone or something else?
« on: March 28, 2006, 05:51:22 PM »
I dont normally ask these type of "which ball should I get?" questions, but Im looking for some feedback.

Simply put, above average ball speed, above average revs, inverted track.

Current arsenal:
Vapor Zone
Ambush
Rampage
Big Blue Spare

My Vapor is a great ball. When I got it drilled, I told my driller that I wanted the ball to match up to what it is supposed to do---get down the lane and turn. I needed to increase my backend reaction. It works great for that purpose.

Now Im looking for a stronger earlier reaction. I know what I can do with drillings (as most everything Ive owned with the exception of the Vapor, is drilled with rollier drillings). My question is what ball will match up best to suit my needs.

Would the Strike Zone be enough extra with an earlier roll drilling to provide me with the different reaction shape Im looking for now? Is the Scorchin going to burn up because it is just too much surface in the hands of someone with above average revs?

Thoughts and opinions are appreciated. Also, not interested in an AI---with any drilling---just not a fan of that ball.

I love my Scorchin, with just a hint of shine, the ball is awesome on most any pattern I've seen! (desert dry is the exception!)

I think it'd be a truck if you like to wheel on it.
