c-system 3.5
« on: January 24, 2010, 12:52:27 PM »
i pick up my c-system 3.5 tomorrow. i got a great deal on this ball from the pro shop at the house where i bowl my mixed league. the pro shop operator is an older bowler( 65 + ) and only drills up 14lb. equipment for himself. he's getting a 15lb. ball and will sell it to me for $100. i can't wait to get it drilled up later in the week and try it out.

i got my c-system 3.5 today. right out of the box i couldn't help but notice the vibrant purple & yellow color scheme of this ball.....very sharp looking. the quality control on the ball looked great. the ball was evenly scuffed and very smooth. the pin, cg, and psa were all clearly marked and in a straight line. all logos and markings looked fine. i can't wait to get this ball drilled up friday and try it out. if this ball rolls half as good as it looks i'm in for treat.

to be honest with you i wasn't going to get a c-system 3.5. my 2.5 is working so well for me and i'm matching up with it so well i didn't see the need for the ball. but the pro shop operator at this particular house was getting a couple for himself. but he only throws 14lb. equipment. he said he had a 15lb. ball coming and he would let me have it at his cost....$100. i guess i was just lucky !

i got the c-system 3.5 drilled up today. i had this ball drilled and coverstock adjusted the same as my 2.5

pin next to ring finger, cg stacked, psa just below and to the right of the thumbhole, x-hole 1" in diameter and appx. 2 1/2" deep, x-hole 1" down from pap. this makes it appx. 4 1/2 x 4 1/2

coverstock scuffed to 2,000 micropad. polished with brunswick factory finish high gloss polish.

i may have helped my pro shop make a few sales on the 2.5 and 3.5 while i was there today. i was telling the owner how great the 2.5 was and how my average had really gone up and the great ball reaction i have been getting. several customers asked me some questions on the balls.

i''ll have an initial report on this ball monday night after practice.
