Living just one hour away from Orlando gave me the opportunity to attend today's Bowl Expo 2005. For those of you who live near Las Vegas, the Expo is coming your way in 2006, and I highly recommend it. All of the ball companies were represented, along with vendors of every type of product imaginable for proshops and bowling centers. In addition, there was free food and free drinks of all types available down every isle.
While there, I had the pleasure of speaking with Bill Wasserberger for over one hour, as we discussed ball motion; specifically, how to create continuous motion on the back-end, and mass bias balls versus symmetrical. He was a pleasure to speak with and shared a great deal of information.
Additionally, I spoke with Larry Verble, Product Specialist for the Minnesota region. He was also extremely helpful. For those of you who live in the Minnesota area, down to Missouri, I would recommend that you take the time to meet him. If you own a proshop, as I do, he is a wealth of information.
Sadly, our Product Specialist in the south is not particularly helpful nor personable, and for that reason, I have shyed away from selling a lot of Brunswick equipment, or for that matter, throwing much of it.
However, that will change.
So, I strongly recommend that bowlers and proshop operators alike, get to know your regional product specialist. And, by all means, attend next year's Bowl Expo 2006 in Vegas.
Smokin' Inferno is a hot looking ball!
