Brunswick ball similar to Katana line?
« on: November 01, 2018, 06:51:31 AM »
I wish companies in the same family had charts or comparisons across their brands.  Looking at a medium strong asym ball.  What is similar to the ludicrous or Katana ball in Brunswick and DV8?
MOTIV Jackal LE .................40 x 4.5 x 40 p2.5
MOTIV Revolt Vengeance......45 x 4.0 x 50 p3
MOTIV Forza GT ..................50 x 4.0 x 70 p2.5
MOTIV Sigma Sting..............50 x 4.0 x 45 p3

Hitman or Hitman Enforcer for DV8 and Tenacity or Vintage Vapor Zone for big B are their big skid flip balls I believe.

I agree with the Tenacity and Vapor Zone.  In my estimation the Tenacity has a stronger cover, but the Vapor Zone has been a blast so far.

Many of us have knocked the gloss off Tenacity and it's a beast that way.  It may handle a little more oil.  My eye says the Vapor Zone is slightly longer before it makes the turn.

I've seen some mixed reviews on the Tenacity but have been very pleased with what I have seen out of the Vapor.  It is both stronger in terms of boards covered and shape downlane than I had expected.  Not quite Katana strong, but strong enough to take the Tenacity's spot in my bag.
