pba doubles
« on: February 03, 2008, 05:41:53 AM »
it was great seeing three guys sponsored by brunswick on the telecast today. ronnie russell and his ultra zone both looked very good...his time will come as a pba champion. we also saw ric hamlin and robert lawrence on the telecast as well. during a commercial break the espn cameras looked out into the crowd and picked up a couple of vip's sitting next to each other enjoying the show. what were your impressions of the ultra zone used by russell and what ball was joe ciccone using ?

Ciccone was throwing a Blast Zone. The Ultra Zone did about what I expected. It looks like it picks up in the late midlane and is continuous, but not snappy, in the backend. With a hybrid version of the Twisted Fury cover and the more rolly Zone/Phantom weight block, this is about what I expected out of it. Ball looked great after game 1 when the oil moved down the lane more.
