Brunswick Customer Service (kinda long )
« on: January 31, 2011, 11:22:41 PM »
Last week I found that my c system 3.5 had a crack radiating down from the thumb hole.  Now I have had balls crack before, around the finger holes if there's a sharp edge, but this was straight from the thumb hole down the ball. I keep my balls in my house never leave them in the car or a locker so it was weird. I contacted customer support and within a day they emailed me back and today sent me an email approving my warranty request. All too often now a days you never here about great customer service only the bad.  They were quick and responsive to my questions. So Thank You Brunswick keep up the good work.

Dewey,

Glad it has gone well for you. Your good experience seems to be indicative of how hard Brunswick is trying to take care of their customers. No company will be 100% perfect, because sometimes the demand from the customer is outrageous. But as long as the claim is legit they are very willing to do what is right.

I've been doing business with Brunswick for over 15 years and have never had an issue that required customer service. However, I'm glad you got your situation resolved in a timely manner.

I've contacted them once on a customer service issue and a few times with questions and always had great, fast results.

I've seen a few different bowling balls crack from the thumb.(most recently Midnight Vibe) It isn't as common as the fingers, but does happen. I think it has to do with the glue used on the bowling ball. Usually with finger inserts the glue always makes contact with the outer shell of the ball, where as many times the thumb insert being glued in may not.

I went away from finger inserts in 2000-01ish and have never had a ball crack from the fingers since then. I have had one crack from the thumb.(Bonanza/Wrath)

Be good, or be good at it.
…… you can't  add a physics term to a bowling term and expect it to mean something.

One of my customers brought back there 3.5 with a crack from the thumb. I raplaced his ball for him on the spot( he is a repeat customer). I returned the cracked ball to my brunswick distributer and within 4 days the value of the ball was refunded to my account.
