In the last year I know of 4 people who were on staff with Brunswick suddenly jump ship on their own and go to another company.. 2 to Global, 1 to Storm and 1 to Ebonite International... All of them have said that they are much happier.. I don't bowl as much as I use to which means I don't buy equipment as much either but I do want a new ball. I use to always take a good look at Big B but I'm thinking of looking elsewhere. Has Big B lost its mojo or are they still one of the top brands??

We demand a lot from our staffers. Unfortunately, there are some that just don't want to put the work in, and often, "go shopping" for another deal while still under contract.

With that being said, we have made some great products with innovative engineering, from ECS to Composite coverstocks, not to mention all of Mo Pinel's patented Scoop Core Technology. It's definitely worth your consideration. 

Even though I don't throw Brunswick currently, they have come out with a lot of great products the past 2-3 years.  You really can fine tune the angles and looks you have to the pocket with the variety of balls they now have.  I would certainly consider them for any new balls that may be needed.

That being said, all of the manufacturers have good products these days.  I currently throw Storm/Roto, Motiv, and Track and all of those brands have something that fits my game well in the spots I need.  IMO, Storm/Roto still dominates around where I live, but Motiv has really made huge inroads with the products they've been making.  I personally started throwing some of their balls last year and love what I see. 

Also, I have started to see the EBI brands make a huge comeback over the past 2 years.  In fact, I picked up a Track Paradox and it's definitely the best ball that brand has had since the 505T. 

Several in my league have started to throw Brunswick/DV8/Radical who would have never throw their brands before.  They tried it and really like how their stuff performs.  The addition of Mo Pinel and Phil Cardinale have paid off in a huge way.

Big thing I would do is talk to your PSO and have them watch you throw the ball a bit.  From there, it can help you make the best decision for your game.

Brunswick/Radical equipment has been my preference since returning to bowling. I'd love to be a Brunswick staffer. But the thing I hear from current Brunswick staffers is it's not really about the bowler's ability and results on the lanes. It is the ability of influencing sales -- I suppose that's where I fall way short.

Motiv is making a huge profit on its bowling balls in the exact same plant Brunswick said it could not make a profit at. All Brunswick did was go for cheap labor.

Bergman, I share you opinion. Why anyone would throw Made In Mexico bowling balls when so many GREAT bowling balls are Made in the USA is beyond me.

Who's your source for information? Why would you limit your options when the Brunswick family has been putting out some great stuff?

You're the same guy who flipped out because AMF didn't release enough balls in your eyes. Looks like Motiv had a quality control issue so maybe they weren't the best company to switch to.

I agree it shouldn't matter where the ball is made long as it rolls good and works for you,it's funny how people say they only buy usa products when 90% of the things you buy on a daily basis is made over seas, I throw what ever works from whatever the company , and for those that don't that's you,but why limit yourself if that day your storm,hammer,ebonite or columbia not working that day,and it will be the guy using Big B that day with a better look laughing all the way to the jackpot table
