please let it be known that i feel the brunswick fury is a great addition to the brunswick line of high performance bowling balls. i received my fury before the general public was able to. after the infamous "mike mineman---pba champ", incident, i wanted to make sure that my public acknowledgement of said piece of equipment didn't hit the media until the ball had been "officially" released..........

the brunswick fury.....it's brunswicks latest ball to hit the market. surely you've heard about it. it has a brand new coverstock and a new core design. i'm glad i got one. i think it will become a great addition to my arsenal. i'd like to hear how other people like theirs.

Greg, thanks for holding off on giving your opinion so not to spoil the findings before the rest of us bowlers can have a chance at one.

no problem wsustroker, i'll make sure i don't post my opinions on this great ball until a later time. in an unrelated topic, i wonder if brunswicks attempt at a diamond shaped core will cause any legal problems with lane #1 ?

Greg, see here http://www.ballreviews.com/Forum/Replies.asp?TopicID=154753&ForumID=7&CategoryID=2 for debate over the core.

I got mine a week ago and havent had any success yet. The ball definately flares a ton but hooks little. I know what the problem is just havent had time to fix it lol. I am getting about 7-9 inches of flare or 7-9 - 3/8" apart flare rings out of it but about 2 boards of tottal hook. The ball is over flareing and needs a flare reduceing weight hole and some polish. Then I will see what becomes of it. At this moment not really excited about it. i will post back after I had some time to play with it. I have only thrown it 4-5 times and realized the problem but havent the time to fix between drilling everyone elses stuff.

Ok so to update I didnt put the weight hole in the fury yet but I did polish it. Shot 300 the first game with it and this is the first game I have actualy used the ball. The polish really seemed to wake the ball up.
p.s sorry for the high jack lol.

Test balls for Germany have been delivered some weeks ago and I know that staffer tests are currently made - official sales release will be in March, as far as I know, and I am eagerly expecting the staffers' impressions.
What I heard is that the ball OOB is too strong (except for total soup) - polish seems to be the 1st thing to do with it to make it usable on "normal" conditions.
