i have a scorchin inferno and total inferno and was jus wondering which ball would be better on oily conditions

so scorchin would be better

for heavy oil i would worry more about the surface on the coverstock. depending upon your style, ball speed, rotation, etc., you may need the ball as dull as 220 grit or as smooth as 4,000 abralon.

Gee, how about throwing both balls on this supposed heavy oil you bowl on?  That way you can directly compare both balls on the exact condition you are wondering about.  One will give you a better look than the other.  Keep that sanded to around 600-800 and do something different with the other - 800 + polish or 2000 wet sanded.  More than likely the Scorchin will handle more oil than the Total, but heck, Brunswick's site could have told you that.

I understand when people want to compare something they have with something they are looking at.  I don't understand how you want us to guess when it's so easy to find out yourself.  There are so many variables that it's hard to get a good answer online.  As usual, you gave no information about how either ball is drilled, what each cover is at right now, the type of lane and oil type and volume being used, your rev rate, speed, axis rotation....
