Brunswick Intense Inferno
« on: July 18, 2004, 08:47:47 AM »
I got this ball in Vegas and it was drilled by the Brunswick crew.  The pin is 1/2 inch below the ring finger with the Cg slightly kicked out to the right without a weight hole.  The Intense is very clean through the heads which saves energy for the backend reaction.  Its natural breakpoint reaction is a sharp turn or snap.  The layout is an excellent control and carry drilling.

Posting the shot is a beautiful thing with the Intense.  Bowlers from several lanes down were coming to watch the swirled colors blend at the breakpoint.  My friend Bryant has the same span and asked to use my ball on the tournament pairs.  After a very good set, he asked the pro shop owner to order him one to copy mine.  I love my original Inferno and this Intense is also a winner.

So get INTENSE, and get PAID...

When are they going to release this thing? Does it cost as much as a high performance ball, or is it cheaper?

Most internet places have its price the same as the other Infernos. So, it's a premium price ball. I have found no relationship between ball price and high performance, yet.

The ball actually gets released to the proshops on 8/1 I already have mine from vegas as well and the ball is fantastic. But I still think the Ultimate Inferno is a better ball.

I can get them now, they are in stock 15 and 16lbs.  Won't be cheap though, $150 is what I have to pay for them.

With inserts (fingers & thumb) I would think it would be a few bucks more than that, normal retail that is.

Am still using my Inferno and averaging 220 in a Summer league.  Has anyone had a chance to compare the Intense Inferno to the Inferno on the same lane conditions yet?

I don't have one (yet), but saw a friend throwing one last night. I don't know if he could have used the inferno playing the line he was playing last night, but geez- the intense was incredible. He said that it really hit a little TOO hard for him...
Whatever that means.

Just ordered an Intense from a pro shop that was highly recommended and I'm trying for the first time.  Cost was $185. including grips and slug.  In addition, pro shop owner threw in a bottle of ball cleaner and a free 1/2 hour lesson.

I think that's a super deal.  He's obviously not in it for the money.  Super nice guy.
