Gifted a Vintage Inferno - What Can I Expect?

Hey Bruns fam, I was gifted a Vintage Inferno. Before I go get it drilled, what's everyone's experience been thus far?

It was the strongest pearl on the market when it was introduced.   A lot of its strength came from the rough buff finish that was a new concept at the time.   Very rolly for a pearl.  Probably its best attribute was the long life of the Activator shell.  I put well over 100 games on mine with literally no maintenance and it acted just as good as out of the box.

That was its successor, the Absolute Inferno, the original one came polished. This, together with a very low RG core, made it very rolly and responsive to the dry. However, the original Activator coverstock was a really durable material - not certain how the remake compares, though.

Rough buff was polished.   Original Inferno was rough buff finish
