I call this the Brunswick Monster Garage Balls Spinner since I put it together Monster Garage Style and it only spins Brunswick Balls. I did have to use a old house ball I found to see if it worked though, to make sure it was all balanced and what not. Wasn't hard to build but calculations took me awhile... This is what it is made of:
STAND - Sunbeam BarBQue Grill - FREE
ENGINE - Two Speed A/C Motor - FREE
PULLEY - Muray Lawn Mower - $5.00
BOWL - Stainless Steel Salad Bowl - $4.00
BARINGS - Muray Lawn Mower Quill Assemble - FREE
SWITCH - Light Dimmer Switch - $3.00
BELT - Napa V-Belt - $3.00
TABLE - Scrap Plywood - FREE
BUILD COST = $15.00
Take a Look at her...

Not bad for a two week garage project and works GREAt too, and heck of alot cheaper than a $250 Donkee...

That looks pretty impressive!! Only thing I can't see is if you used some weather stripping around the edge of the bowl for grip. Otherwise the ball may slip in the salad bowl. Great idea!!
-
It does have automotive weather stripping in the bowl for grip and recently I added a EARTH BOX planter thing I took from my bosses house to use as a splash guard, worked out great and is the perfect heighth so I won't have the Tye-Die wall scheme...

Looks sweet. Nice Job. Ever considering to "Tool-Time" it and replace the a/c motor with the mower engine? Now that would be some high speed polish!

Who says MAC's never crash? Word works for less than a minute... Safari isn't much better... and I think last time the Force Quit even crashed...
-
Strapper,
I am actually rebuilding an old 48 knuckle Head for a Bike I am building... Maybe I will strap that bugger in there and see what 65 HP will do????

lol, that looks like something out of the basement where they burned Freddy Krueger in Nightmare on Elm Street. CREEPY! Aside from that, it is pretty cool.
-
King of the Mill,
I stated I had to use a house ball to try it out... I wasn't going to put one of my precious Brunswick balls on the and have it fly off and get all scruffed up. That is why it is on there because I took the picture while I was still working the bugs out but it works great now. I just found it and decided anything without a "B" on it would be a great GINI-PIG...

Nice job Fleshwound, all you need now is a tray for teh BBQ sauce and your hamburger topings and put your polishing products and cleaners there instead lol that would be cool.
