Layout suggestions needed
« on: June 08, 2010, 03:35:25 PM »
Yesterday I posted about the Big B classics I scored on Craigslist.

I threw them on the spinner, gave them a hot water bath, and resurfaced them all. I have to say they came out quite pretty, especially the Combat Zone Pearl!

The last few balls I bought I had the shop leave the fingers alone, plug the thumbs, and install the Vise IT. I think I'll do this with the Rhino. I have another short pin ball and it's laid out the exactly like this one. Love that ball.

However I'm not sure if I should do this with the Combat Zones. It's hard to see the CGs on these so I marked them with a piece of green tape on each ball. Both Zones have a strange layout so I don't know what to expect. I'm kinda tempted to leave the solid one as is and move the thumb.

These days my favorite layout is pin above bridge with the CG kicked out very slightly and no weight hole. With my slower speed I need the length of a pin up layout.

Any advice is always appreciated!

Those green Zones appear to be drilled for a left hander. Looks like all 3 cleaned       up real well. Nice job !!

The CZ green tracer is the only one that would be maybe a tough ball for some right handers. The other two look perfectly fine though.

They cleaned up good

…… you can't  add a physics term to a bowling term and expect it to mean something.
