Nexus Pearl F (P)

Releasing November 2011, the Nexus F (P), is Brunswick’s newest high performance ball. To explain the name of the ball; the first additive F is for Formula, and the second additive P is for Projection. The down lane response of the Nexus Pearl is vastly better than any pearl I have ever thrown. This ball easily makes it through the heads without wasting energy. Then, the ball motion is so continuous when the Nexus Pearl hits the friction; it is like a bomb ready to explode. All of my Nexus Pearl’s energy is preserved for when it is time to attack those pins. Before the ball hits the pins, it seems to me that the pins just jump away from this ball before it hits them. With the Nexus Pearl’s strong down lane reaction, I would move out of the way too. Now, if your Nexus SOLID is reading to early; I would recommend switching to the Nexus Pearl to create better projection and pin carry. My recent research shows me that I cannot shoot a perfect series of 900 without my Nexus Pearl, because I am going to need this ball when it time to change balls in the second or third game. I am very impressed with what I have seen so far from my Nexus Pearl.

·         I use my Nexus Pearl during transition on medium volume house shots.

·         I use this ball when my Nexus solid is reading the lanes to early.

And these are exactly the type of useful ball reviews that this site needs more of....not.

Dump this advertising spiel on your league buddies. BR is for USEFUL reviews, which would include this set of information at the very least:
a) How it compares/differs from your other equipment
b) How it compared to what you were expecting
c) Your pertinent stats (rev rate, speed, tilt, rotation)
d) The layout
e) Conditions you've used it on and how it handled them.

You didn't even include the classic requirement for a worthless ball review of "IT HITS LIKE A (MAC) TRUCK!"

"My recent research shows me that I cannot shoot a perfect series of 900 without my Nexus Pearl, because I am going to need this ball when it time to change balls in the second or third game."

This is just phenomenal material here.

So, "Richard", you're saying that b/c you'll need this ball in "the second or third game", your "research" (love it) tells you you cannot shoot 900 without it?

It's incredible that it was physically impossible for you to shoot 900 before this ball's existence.....but now that this BALL exists, it is now possible..

Wow.

BR is for USEFUL reviews, which would include this set of information at the very least:

a) How it compares/differs from your other equipment?

          * This ball is about 2 and 2 left from my Alti-Max on a Heavy to Medium

house shot condition. I am able to move deeper and create a better entry

angle with this ball than the Alpha Max.

b) How it compared to what you were expecting?

·         I knew from Phone conference that this ball was going to be amazing. I went on Brunswick.com and I watched Sean Rash throw the ball. I knew, from that point, that I got my hands on a gold mine. They said, and I agree, It has more length than the Alpha Max and more overall hook than the Alti-Max.

c) Your pertinent stats: 350 rev’s and 17-18mph

d) The layout: My Solid is drilled label with the pin above the bridge

e) Conditions you've used it on and how it handled them:

I have been limited to my bowling this pass month, so I have only thrown the Nexus Solid on a house shot. It has been working well, until I get behind on my moves. I have seen lots of 4 pins with this ball, however simple moves gets this ball to striking.

When did Brunswick release the Alti-max? Im aware of the ULTI-max but not this Alti-max you speak of. For being a "Brunswick Staffer" you should know the name of your equipment a little better. PS. I like the review... O wait, there isnt a review in here.

Was going to ask what an Alti-max was also.   Ummmm, Brunswick?  Better pull this guy off your amateur staff.  He does way too much damage to your reputation.

Once I get an "Alti-Max" I should be able to, at that point, shoot 900.

With that ball, you can then shoot 1200 for four games!

Guys, Guys.....c'mon.

It's not nice making up stories like that.....but I got an Alti-Max and I shot 1000 for 3 games!!!!

It is so good it knocked pins down on the other lanes, and of course I counted them towards my score. If you don't have one, you must get one today....it is so good it hits like 3 trucks!!!

I know you guys are having fun with this, but in checking your profiles many of you have never posted a ball review.

A few of you have and they are well done, but several of you haven't even tried. Richard's second try gave us all more helpful information, so at least he made an effort to improve.

Ball reviews are not easy for me either, because I know before I use the ball what it's intended use is. Unless I'm going against that, the ball will probably be one that I like.  How many ways can you say "it hits like a truck" without actually saying it?

Richard is probably a very accomplished bowler (I've never met him) and will probably become an accomplished review writer with practice. Keeping you guys happy is no easy task though.

My review of the Alti-Max  is coming shortly...

The least us br trolls can do is give him some hell for being a "staffer" and not knowing the names of the products he's attempting to make appealing  to us...

I don't do reviews simply because I don't have to do reviews.  I'm a consumer that buys way more than my fair share of equipment.  I pay for my equipment also, and just like the rest of us on BR.. we can most likely tell others about big b equipment a hell of a lot better than one of your fellow staffers can, that's obvious...

They say any publicity is good publicity..now where's my altimate inferno!? Lol

No offense..but ANY review with a ---------> (any ball co) staff in their signature should be taken with a least a 5lb bag of salt..

Remember the reviews for the Fury? ( the biggest POS brunswick came with) or the "hits like a truck" Lame 1 reviews.
