Ya, its a dead horse.. but if they wanted to save money, im sure theres alot of ways to save money in today world. Im 100% sure if the jobs lost had to take a small pay cut, most of them would. We had to take a small pay cut where i work or lay off 250 people..well im still working and back to what i was making plus more now, we lost a few things here and there, but then being laid off. So I wont buy any of this product, no matter how great it is. Plenty of balls out there, and ill support motiv for being able to do what they do, and its local company for me.

Still made In Mexico.

Lots of things are made in Mexico...Hershey chocolate, GM, Ford, VW, Mercedes, HP, Sony, Panasonic, etc.

That won't change until it becomes too expensive to make products in Mexico, or if Trump gets elected President.

At least Brunswick is still marketing bowling balls and still headquartered in the US.
Motiv is making it in Michigan. Brunswick couldn't. That should tell you enough about the situation.

It is definitely disappointing that Brunswick moved production to Mexico to save $5M-$6M per year, and eliminated 120 jobs in the process, when they could have simply raised the price of each bowling ball $10 and made $5M-6M more and kept production and equipment stateside.  They are not my first choice in ball manufacturer, but I do have a couple of DV8 and Radical balls purchased on closeout at a very low price.

Their closeouts don't sell...u cant still get loaded revolvers lol
In the bag [Infinite Physix, Volatility Torque, Night Road, Phaze III, Burner Solid, Hustle AU]
*Now Testing* IQ Ruby, Renevant, another IQ Tour solid
Coming soon...???

I understand and support those of you out there who stand by made in America.

Now:  I have watched enough shark tank to have learned that made in America means higher costs.

And when it comes to bowlers: we bitch that sanction fees might go up $2.  We will drive 25 miles across town to save $5 on the cost of drilling a ball, without necessarily realizing that you spent that $5 you saved on gas.  So if that price had gone up $10, a segment of bowlers probably would have quit buying the brand due to the price increase.  Now would it have been more or less than those who quit the brand because it went overseas?  I don't know.

When you have some of the most successful businessmen/women telling young business owners that you MUST be willing to goto overseas manufacturing to be competitive in most markets, I listen.

Made in the USA is something to stand behind, but when it is your company and your money, and your profits on the line, I wonder how many of you will continue to stand.  For those of you who do.  I congratulate you hope you succeed.

Don't bring logic to a bowling forum….. Theres no place for it here.

Do you people who keep beating the "Made in Mexico" drum do anything besides troll on Brunswick Forums? I'm pretty sure Storms entire brand has new releases you can go salivate over. I don't understand why you would bring a argument that has no value to the discussion.

Can these people be ignored and the discussion shift back to the Nirvana and whether or not it actually is scented with "Teen Spirit".  :o :o :o

The Einstein and the Thug Corrupt were scented with something.......strong chemical smelling. Obviously a new additive, with a distinct smell.

Anyone else get there Einstein and it looks like there is royal compound on it? Just got mine today and it is as shiny as my intellect. Now my thug corrupt is dull with the same 4000 Siaair but the Einstein is very glossy? Not what i  was expecting when opening the box.

Mine looked just shy of being shined. It looked like it was 4000. Maybe yours was one of the last few surfaces before changing pads. So the 4000 was maybe more then 4000……… like a dull 4000?

Just a guess.

Yeah it's cool, just curious to see if anyone else's was like that. I'm going to hit it with 2000 siaair so that it gives me a nice separation between my intellect and scholar. Can't wait to try it, have heard great things on this one.

Used an older 2000 siaair pad on my before league last night and had a great look.  OOB required a little more friction for me to use on the fresh and needed me to be further right then I wanted.

I, too, noticed the strong chemical smell on the Einstein. It reminded me of the old days when Brunswick poured Lane 1 stuff. My Cherry Bomb Pearl smelled like nail polish remover, so that's the first thing I thought of when I opened the box on the Einstein.

I personally thought that the Einstein hooked more than the original Mastermind.  And my Einstein also had a chemical odor when I first purchased it.  After a few weeks it went away.  The Nirvana is rated with a higher hook potential than the Mastermind.  I am looking forward to trying out a demo!
