Scripted ball usage
« on: September 08, 2005, 11:38:03 PM »
I have the UI, AI, and SI.
All three are drilled exactly the same.
2 inch Pins under ring finger with the CG kick to the max with a balance hole.
All three are polished.
Last night I decided to throw all three no matter what.
UI first game 235,
AI second game 248,
SI third game 257.
The UI handled the fresh oil.
The AI riped the medium push.
The SI overpowered the drying out oil of the third game.
Played the 12 board all three games.
Usually I just stay with one of the three.
Anyone else script there ball usage?
I'm going to give this method another try.

My Honest opinion:

The fact that you were able to use all three successfully points more to the probability of the ubiquitous walled-up house shot than the utility of those ball as a shot changes. Normal oil pattern changes, even those for a house shot, would not normally allow you to use such a wide variety of balls. It also points out that you probably could have used any one of those balls all night, just as successfully, with feet position and target changes.

Besides all that, great bowling to score that high even on a house shot. Congrats!

Nah, Scott. Even a lefty doesn't have that much leeway on oil. I think this may have been an extraordinary oil pattern, one of those ideals,on which we less than capable bowlers dream of being able to score.

(My last game last night had 4 ten pins, 1 nine pin, 1 four pin, 1 seven pin and 4 strikes. Now I know I am not a great bowler and I didn't flush the pocket, but most of those were in the right neighborhood, with lots of pins moving on every shot.)
