But its an effin power groove!
« on: November 04, 2006, 11:28:37 AM »
And Im a lefty! this shouldn't happen EVER, atleast not with this ball. It was about an hour after a leauge, I think they cheaped out and didint oil for a few days lol. I tried everything I could think of untill I tried this and it actually gave me a bit of room, so that worked out I guess, good thing a few of those rolled out! there was about the same ammount of oil everywhere and I dont have any idea how that last one held... But man, this shouldnt happen on my side lol.
video...
thanks for looking.

LOL...  Nothing wrong with that line.  There must have been some oil as the ball got some decent length.  You have several games remaining on that line...
I can remember when bowling collegiately, one of our practice sessions was on a Friday afternoon.  The ball would hook just past the arrows (anywhere right of 5th arrow from all of the open play), then catch the carry-down and skid the remainder of the way.  We had a club tournament were the heads were so dry that anything (even plastic) would instantly roll out the moment it touched the lane (Belgarion can vouch for it!).

yea it could have been worse lol. I guess it was a good experence though, if I ever get to the point where my polished OI rolls out at the arrows Ill know right where to go! just adding to the versitality(sp) of my game, I also got pretty good at fluffing it right up 10, but on that day even the groove rolled out with any less hand than I was putting in it.

thanks, but yea, it definatly needs some more work though. I normally dont have my swing that high, but with basically no approach, speed needed to come from somewhere lol. It was very hard to get a consistant swing hight and ball speed, as you can see from the video. but on the other hand, I feel I got the ball into the swing at the right time for the most part. I didint do to bad with it either, I had the front 7 with it the 3rd game...

Wasnt the bowler causing that kind of hook, it was the lane for the most part. Yes he puts alot on the ball but the lanes have to be fried for that to happen.
