I currently bowl two nights a week on leagues and average anywhere from 200-220. The only ball I've been throwing for the past 3-4 years is my Brunswick Absolute Inferno, which I absolutely love. It's a very smooth rolling even arc ball. The oil patterns for both leagues are THS with medium units of oil.

I'm left handed, with medium speed, and medium rev rate. I typically stand around 20-25 board and throw over 8-12 board. I haven't really been paying much attention to what's out in the market these days. I'm looking for a ball that will give me a different look, such as one that will give me some more length with a stronger backend reaction.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

There are several good choices. If you're looking into medium oil, a great pearl that came out is the Storm Victory Road. It has a great core/cover, and from what I've seen, carries really well. I throw the Roto Grip Nomad Dagger on medium oil and even though its a hybrid solid/pearl, it has a really nice downlane motion and I love how it carries.

900 Global has 2 great balls out for medium conditions- the Favorite (solid) and the Long Shot (pearl). Both are really good choices. I did see a lefty throw a Long Shot a few weeks ago on the pair next to me. With the medium oil, it had good length and carried well. However, it did start to check too early once the lane broke down further. Carry was good from what I saw.

From Hammer, there is the Midnight Vibe which is designed for medium-dry conditions, or the Jigsaw Trap and the Hardcore Hammer Brawl for medium oil. I have yet to see any of these 3 thrown where I live.

Since you've had a good run with the Absolute inferno, try the Brunswick wicked siege or loaded revolver

Why not try a Rattler? (Activator pearl with the Rocket core) Deffinately will give you a different look. Love this ball for games 2 & 3 during league. Using my Anconda for game 1. (Activator + with the Rocket core) Great 1-2 combo.

The wicked is fairly long and has a nice backend, definitely worth considering

I will plug the Damage. The Wicked and Loaded Revolver are stronger covers, which can be a good thing, but the Damage will glide down the lane and be more angular than the Absolute, in my opinion.

I would recommend the Wicked Siege or the Loaded Revolver. Same cover on both. Very forgiving and versatile. Great for length and angular back ends.
