Brunswick - Red Alert Special Edition 15/16lb
« on: May 12, 2014, 10:52:16 AM »
Hey All - I'm looking for a Brunswick Red Alert Special Edition ball, 15 or 16lbs.  Anyone have info on where I can get one, i would appreciate it.

I threw this ball when i was a kid as a 12lber and it was Amazing!  After everyone at the alley saw it's potential, everyone got one.  I regret not getting a heavier one for me to grow into...

I have a 16# 3rd drill that still rolls up hard that I'd sell you for $10 +shipping. This ball just doesn't come around PERIOD.

my for sale gallery... lots of stuff is gone already but still have RED ALERT

I also have the pearl "nightflash" version in 16# that I'm hoarding in mint condition that I'd only sell if I can get around $140 shipped for it

Buy an LT-48 while you can!  Classic reactive resin reaction.  Great price.

I have a 16 lber, single drill for a lefty if you're interested.  I'd sell it for $20 + shipping.

REmarcaBOWL: Does the number of times drilled make a difference in performance?  i could care less about looks.

Could you send a better link? The one you provided doesnt work.

Does it matter with if it's lefty or not? can't i just plug it and re-drill for a righty (the CG and pins positioned for a righty)??

@Mr.Flip99:

If I were you, I'd go for the lefty, single drill Red Alert. At least when you re-drill it, most probably you will be drilling it for the first time on the right hand side of the ball. So that is akin to having a brand new ball for you. Just my two cents.

P.S.  I have two Red Alert Special Editions, however I am NOT selling them because they have come back into play as of late. I use them regularly now, on a variety of conditions the way I have them drilled. Sorry.

thanks for the input and now that you bring it up, it does make sense.  The ball will roll on the opposite unused track and should be "like new".  Hope your balls are performing well like they did for me.  From what i remember, throwing a 12lb, this ball gave just enough hit to carry the 10, that most 12lbers couldnt do.

With my high track, I do clip the plugs a little. The ball still rolls up nicely nonetheless. I'm not trying to get rich off the ball. Just pay shipping and whatever you feel like donating if you feel like it's worth your time  ;)
