Title: Brunswick Swamp Monster
Post by: MelvinBrunsTrack on September 18, 2005, 10:29:37 AM
Anyone still throwing this ball. I heard this ball is very aggressive and hooks alot. If you have this ball, what condition and drilled layout?

Thank you

i know someone still using a swamp monster. He has it drilled pin below to the right of the ring finger, not sure of cg, but he has high speed and high revs, and a lefty. Its a big hooker but its weird how he throws it starting at 5 and it dosnt roll out at all.

I did have the ball at one point, but gave it up to my dad because he needed a new ball and I didn't use it much anymore. The ball wasn't suited for my game. I didn't think it hooked as much as advertised and left far too many tens. I would possibly be interested in drilling up another and giving it a go tho.

I've had mine for about 2 years now.  I didn't really get to use it much in league last year as the conditions didn't allow it.  This ball for me really works well on the heavier oil condition.  It's drilled to layout 1E or close to it...
Like other heavy load particle balls, it's important to know when to put it back in the bag though.

Don't throw mine anymore, but mine was drilled stacked leverage, and gave me back to back 300's and an 858 series, so it worked ok for me.  Very predictable roll, and hits very hard.  If there isn't enough head oil, or the midlane's are hooking early, put it away.  Good luck.

If anyone has a 15# Swamp for sale let me know. I had one drilled full roller and lost it

i have the swamp right now . it is really good on dry lane / med oil lanes but when u get it on heavy oiled itwont do anything im a left handed bowler so that might make a difference but if u bowl on dry or med oiled i`d recomend keep bowling with it
