Don't think that you will see lower prices basically 3 companies now Brunswick, Ebonite, Storm, less competition generally means higher prices not lower. Also Brunswick and Ebonite aren't going to get in a price war no way shape or form

Rileybowler 3 major bowling ball manufactures are more then enough for a healthy competitive market.  The reason prices are so high is that people can't sell what they have because there is just too many balls coming out.  There are around 250 + balls release a year in a market place that could do with less then half of this.  Pro Shop can't buy enough balls to actually get a good break for the most part on a ball because they know in a month or less there will be a new ball that will be selling and they are stuck with a bunch of out dated balls. There needs to be few ball companies and if that means that some have to be bought out then so be it.

If Brunswick wanted to sell plastic balls, why would they move the polyester production equipment to Mexico in November-December, the time of the year pro shops sell the most?

This is one reason that I think the recent buyout was a great thing for the industry.  The pie has been shrinking, and they need to pull back a little.  Too many companies and releases were hurting the market IMO.

Mr. Lebowski, this is Bill Salnicker with the Southern Cal Bowling League, and I just got a, an informal report, that a member of your team, uh, Walter Sobchak, drew a firearm during league play. If this is true of course, it contravenes a number of the league's by-laws, and article 27 of the league...
