Hey everyone I've had a few questions asking how the Radicals compare to the Brunswick stuff. We put together a few videos comparing Paranormal Aura vs Reax, Meanstreak Brawler vs Yeti and Ringer vs Torrid Elite.
Paranormal/Reax : http://www.ballreviewscanada.com/videos/brunswick-aura-paranormal-vs-radical-reax/
Brawler/Yeti : http://www.ballreviewscanada.com/videos/brunswick-meanstreak-brawler-vs-radical-yeti/
Ringer/Torrid Elite : http://www.ballreviewscanada.com/videos/brunswick-ringer-vs-radical-torrid-elite/
Lemme know what you think!
-
Wow I didn't think the Reax would be that strong.
-
All of these balls look great. Im trying to decide between the brawler, yeti and torrid elite to use on a 2nd shift 5 man team THS

Torrid Elite unless you're speed dominate...
-
Think you could do one with the Torrid vs Meanstreak? Or are they really alot different from each other.
-
Jason,I really enjoyed your comparison videos.Keep up the great work.

It seems to me you should have compared the Ringer with the Yeti and the
Torrid Elite with the Meanstreak Brawler. And the compared balls should have had the same drilling, otherwise, it's an apples and oranges comparison.
The Ringer and the Yeti are flippy balls.
The Brawler and the Elite are more even reacting balls.
Gotta compare like to like, with similar drillings.

Considering he is comparing the newest releases in there respected price points Id say he did a great job.

I would have to concur.

I'm unable to view these at the current time but can you describe the major difference between Brunswick and Radical as far as ball reaction goes?

Disagree. These were the ideal comparisons. He compared the balls in the same performance and strength range which is exactly what he should've done. Each ball is a step down from each other. And the only one that didn't have a matched drill was the Yeti and that's because he said he planned on doing MOtion hole later.
Great videos Jason. I love the comparison overlays as they have an exact depiction of the reaction shape differences.
Is it me, or does a Torrid Elite roll like an original Inferno?

It's totally irrelevant to compare the same price point, except as a theoretical discussion. It is also essential to compare similarly purposed balls, especially with overlays like these, to use the same or very close drilling. The difference between the Yeti and the Brawler could have been the difference in the drillings.

Others mentioned price points, I mentioned performance and strength range, which is "similarly purposed". The Yeti and Brawler cover similar conditions as do the other comparisons.

Very valid argument on the layout issue. All our test balls are usually drilled with the same layout. The yeti was done this way because we are doing a video on the motion hole next week. Yeti and brawler were a price point comparison. Future comparison videos will all have the same layout. Even with the 80x4 1/2x50 layout, the yeti is very clean and flippy.

I want to thank you for the comparisons. The Reax/Aura Paranormal is the first video that really showed me how strong the Reax is. More ball than I ever need! I'm lucky to use the OG Aura these days.
I agree with the others that I'd like to see the Yeti/Ringer and Torrid Elite/Meanstreak Brawler comparisons. I have the Ringer and OG Meanstreak -- both balls that I love. I suspect that there is some overlap between the Ringer and Yeti but I won't know until your video lol.
Keep up the great work!

Great video of the paranormal and reax. I'm convinced more than ever that I am going to leaning more and more to balls like the Arson Low Flare and get back to making the game simpler rather than cross more and more boards with these new atomic bombs.

When I eventually get around to doing my video, I can show the Yeti/Ringer. Although the Ringer is much stronger than advertised (something I'm not thrilled with) the Yeti is definitely stronger, both in the mid lane and at the break point. Mine are both drilled pretty similar (except for the MOtion weight hole on the Yeti), so you'll be able to decide for your self. I don't throw as much ball as Jason, and my video skills are much less, but I'll give you a look.

I'm looking forward to the video. My Ringer is surprisingly strong, and I am very happy with it. The Meanstreak is a good step down from it.
From what I've read about the MOtion hole, it will make your Yeti a lot stronger than the Ringer. Can't wait to see it!
