Should i worry?
« on: March 06, 2006, 02:44:08 PM »
I just picked up my absolute and my ultimate tonight..well i looked down in the finger hole (pin over kicked right) and i noticed a little hollow spot where the finger was drilled near the pin.  The pin isnt cracked anything and the hole is like the size of half my pinkie nail..but im leary about this should i take it back to the proshop?

I have many balls like that my vapor zone you can look down the holes and see an opening between the fingers and above the ring finger you can see an opening that way towards the pin. Guess what the vapor zone is the best ball hit wise i have ever used, no issues and at least 80 games going strong. I would not worry about it and go out and use them shoot some big games and show all your friends part of the ball is missing which is filler material no big deal and laugh.

I had a ravage also brunswick made that i am not joking you could see 3-4 inches of filler material missing below the fingers. The ball still hooked and hit well, i never even fixed it with plug material which would probably have caused cracking from expansion when it dryed up in the ball. If it hits and hooks good too me at least it does not matter, its your ball you can see what the pro shop says and maybe the brunswick will warranty it.

Check if it is just a small bubble or a deep crack or hollow tube, like brodieman did. If it is just a bubble, the do not worry UNLESS it hampers your shot (but that's not a technical issue).
I had a bean-sized bubble in the thumb hole of a Trauma, and it was just in the position to create friction on my thumb's side. Had an urethane slug inserted, and the problem was done.

told by the proshop that it has to do with the way that brunswick fills in the balls..so if its done it with mine, id suspect with plenty of others
